UPDATE

Hello Build It Families!

I wanted to give everyone a quick update about the competition this weekend. I spoke with the Competition Director this morning, and they will NOT be cancelling or postponing the event.  Since so many programs, like ours, have their competition schedule planned months in advance, it would be impossible to reschedule for another weekend.

There is a chance of rain and warmer temperatures tomorrow and Saturday, which would make our commute to Moscow much easier.  Plan to leave early, take your time, and drive carefully.  Saturday is still two days away, and the plows will hopefully have time to take care of the highways.

We will keep you updated if anything changes.  In the meantime, if you know of anyone doing a snow dance, please ask them to stop:-)

Parking directions at University of Idaho

In almost the exact center you’ll see the library building, and the Mem Gym is right below it (south).  The good news is you don’t have to pay to park on the weekend, but the bad news is there won’t be anything very close to the gym.  Your easiest options might be the big yellow lots (#56 & #19) north of the library, or any of the red lots in that area.  You just want to avoid the grey lots over by the dorms because those are for residents and I think might be enforced on the weekends.

As far as getting to campus, when you come in from Pullman go past the first traffic light (by Walmart) and turn right at the next light (by Winco).  That road winds around past the soccer fields and then you’ll turn left at the stop sign (6th street). You can get into those red and yellow lots at either of the next 2 stop signs.  If you need to drop kids off closer and then go park, go to the 2nd stop sign and turn right. Go up the street a bit and there’s a little loop turn-around area between the library and Mem Gym.  Although it appears the main entrance is on the library side of the gym, the south door is more commonly used (although both might be open for something like this).
